Arsenal Releases Update on Leno, Ozil, and Martinelli Ahead of Tottenham's Clash on Sunday

Following a major setback at Emirates on Tuesday night after Leciester City held them to a draw, Arsenal FC prepares for North London derby on Sunday. Tottenham will be hosting the gunners by 4:30pm on Sunday. The match is crucial for both team if any of them will make Europe.





Arsenal today gave reportsl of the team news speaking on injuries and players they will be missing on the pitch.

1. Bernd Leno


Following the injury sustained in their second match after the break against Brighton Albion. Arsenal reports that the favourite goalkeeper is progressing well. Contrary to rumors that he's out of the season, the goalie will be back in training before the end of the season.

2. Mesut Ozil

No doubt many fans have missed the veteran midfielder. Most fans believe Arsenal's midfield is better off with Ozil and have questioned why Arteta has refused to play him. However, he was reported to be suffering from back soreness last week. Reports from the club states he's being assessed ahead of the North London Derby.






3. Gabriel Martinelli

The young striker who has made immense contributions to the team hasn't got much chance from Arteta. However, he was injured during training on June 21. Reports are he underwent a procedure to repair a lesion in the cartilage of his left knee. Sadly, the youngster will be out of the season.
