Be careful! See how a man lost 13 million naira contract because of a Facebook post (photos)

The social media is our 'next planet' where we spend most of our time. We connect with family, friends, colleagues, customers through the social media. Hardly do we spend a day without checking the social media for one thing or the other. It has become part of us.


In as much as social media has become our lifestyle, we should use it with caution.

A Facebook user, Baale Demola Olateju has narrated his encounter with a man who became a victim of cyber fight thereby losing a contract worth 13 million naira. Taking to his Facebook page on Thursday, July 9 he wrote


" A guy came to Sheraton hotels to seal a 13-million naira contract today. He was well dressed and was accompanied by a beautiful lady. He came out of one of the offices (I dunno which one) while I was going back to the office after ending the call with a client.


Our eyes met and I said "good morning" to the guy and "hello" to the lady.They both responded but I could tell something was wrong.

Are you alright? I asked; only as a courtesy.

"No, I'm not." He replied. "I just lost a 13-million naira contract because of a Facebook post I made about two years ago".He concluded sobbing.

Moral Lesson: Let's be minded of our words on social media. Don't hide behind your phone to talk trash to others. He/She may be your next employer, helper, guarantor
