Barcelona keen on Coutinho-Guendouzi exchange with Arsenal

Laliga giants FC Barcelona is keen to exchange midfielder Phillipe Coutinho and Matteo Guendouzi with English Premier League side Arsenal.

Coutinho is unwanted by Barcelona with the team looking for suitors for the player and with his Bayern Munich loan set to expire at the end of the current season, there have been rumours that the player is keen to return to England.


The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Liverpool but latest reports suggest that Arsenal could be interested in the player but Barcelona ill as for Guendouzi to be part of the deal should Mikel Arteta come for the player.

Footmercato reports that Guendouzi is open to moving to Spain having fallen out with Arteta but a return to France has been muted as a possibility with the likes of PSG Said to be monitoring his situation at The Emirates.


Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu Gaspar has never hidden his interest in Coutinho with the player able to play on a number of positions in attack. With the future of captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still undecided, Arsenal might be tempted to sign the player to boost their attack.

The reports come just a day when there have been rumours that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had given the club’s board the green light to sign Thiago Alcantara; a move that might all but end Coutinho’s return speculation to Anfield.
