EPL Golden Glove Race: Nick Pope Reclaims top spot

With the aura and all the attention being on who will win the golden boot, another interesting fight is happening with the men between the sticks.

The Golden Glove award is one accolade that every goalkeeper in the Premier League will be looking for and as it stands, it's another battle that might go to the wire.

In keeping a clean sheet in their Wednesday tie against West Ham, Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope climb at the top of the log as he recorded his 14th shut-out.

The 28-year-old's closest rival for the accolade, Liverpool's Alisson, who he'll meet at Anfield on Saturday, is now one behind after Leandro Trossard found the net for Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

Alisson’s countrymate Ederson of Manchester City is third though he’s on the same clean sheet as the Liverpool custodian with Dean Henderson coming fourth with 12 clean sheets.

Despite being a subject of criticism this season, Manchester United’s David De Gea is placed seventh on the log with ten clean sheets and will be looking to better that outing when they take on Aston Villa on Thursday night.
