See A Place In Paris (France), Where Nigerians Sell Roasted Corn To Survive

Nigerians are really doing some odd or dirty jobs in foreign countries, of which they would not have naturally done back home here in their own mother-land.


A Facebook guy who goes by his handle name, Elche Nino, has taken to a popular group page called Igbo Rant (By Wisdom Atasie), a few hours ago to make a post about how Nigerians guys sell Roasted Corn in Paris, France for survival. Read what he wrote:


" This is Paris in France where NIGERIAN guys are doing what they can't do at home in order to survive."

The post, which has had over 3 thousand likes and over 2 thousand comments is still buzzing as not only the Nigerians, but also some other parts of Africa are sharing their views on the trend.


So, when next you saw your relations, colleagues or friends who have traveled abroad and are returning home in flashes of goodies, or they send you some dollars, Francs and Pounds; roasting and selling of corns is one of the numerous dirty jobs, they have used to generate those monies.

A Yoruba adage and it is interpreted, saying "He who didn't know the source of his fellows' wealth, will do a reckless run and yet would get nothing." If you think going overseas and making wealth is just a child's play or a piece of cake, no sir! Every wealth making goes through a certain process - the process of hustling.


Many who replied the opinions have questioned the reasons for many Nigerians or Africans rushing overseas such as U. K., U. S. A., France, Italy and all the rest of the developed worlds, saying they would rather be a servant in their own country than being a prodigal in a strange land.


Others are of the opinion that the hustling in those developed countries pay far better than the struggles they make in Nigeria, backing their points up with the fact that one piece of sold roasted corn, can buy a pair of good shoes in Nigeria, after converting the foreign currency.








But some whites too are doing it, which makes it looks a very lucrative and legitimate job, even selling to the Africans.
