Plus Size Nigerian Lady Narrates Nightmare She Suffered Due To Her Size

A Nigerian big and bold woman took to social media to portray her experience while being fat, and the horrible things she endures due to her size.
She was called names and even harassed, but she came out a victor. She is revealing her story to encourage anybody experiencing what she had experienced. 

It's not been a simple excursion getting to where I am today particularly intellectually.

Being regarded as such names as Sipapu, Orobot, and Iya Apathy caused a ton of damage to my life. I anyway express gratitude toward God that I battled through.

I was brought into the world in the mid-'90s. Had my junior secondary school in Asaba where I was conceived, and my senior secondary school in Lagos (3 different schools).

I'm certain you are asking why. I was certifiably not a dull little teenager, I was incredibly gifted. Indeed, as the vast majority, I never loved science, but I was the best in English. I was truly adept at imparting and cooperating with individuals, even at my age then.

My struggles began when I was in primary 6 as I was developing quickly. Note that my development in size wasn't due to an overabundance of food, but I realize that it shows up that God made me that way.

I was unable to accuse God, neither would I be able to reprimand my parents for having me. But then, pity started.

I would go to class each morning like every other person to get familiar with the fundamentals of improving as an individual in all manners, but I was treated as a castaway due to my size.

I was the biggest individual in my group. I had no companions. Presumably, the whole of my associates felt I intended to endanger them or something, and they even considered me a torturer.

I simply found to my blameless amazement that these teenagers were simply not amicable towards me.

They discovered it so natural to affront me and call me a wide range of names. Because of this treatment, I began evolving. I would view myself as a pleasant creature conventionally, but something inside me concluded that these people didn't have the right to see me better.


My mum didn't see the change from the outset but after some time, she discovered something out of order. I began losing enthusiasm for my examinations, I was done appreciating school.

All I wanted was to escape that school and continue to a higher class. My expectation was that a break would come when I found different young ladies of my size.

I just found that my struggles in primary school turned to just a glimpse of something larger.

I did my common entrance examination, I passed, got into junior secondary school, and at the earliest reference point of secondary school, things took a more awful turn.

Each and every side of the school I strolled into, I discovered one gathering or the other gazing at me, murmuring quiet words to themselves, chuckling so loud, and pointing their fingers at me.

Teachers were no better, as when I strolled into the staff room I was called a wide range of offending Ibo names.

I discovered comfort in nobody. I found nobody to converse with or play with. There were times toward the beginning of the day when I woke up and recalled that I planned to go to class, and I would separate since I didn't feel loved on the grounds that I was terrified.

I would not like to be offended, I didn't feel I merited that as my size wasn't acting naturally accepted. At a point, I would lie just to keep away from school.


I battled through junior secondary school after which I clarified that I wasn't going to class any longer. I was unable to go to birthday celebrations or anything. I previously had it as a primary concern that I would be taunted.

Fortunately, my senior sibling came and took me to Lagos. I imagined that the difference in conditions would make things totally different. But I was totally wrong.

Amazingly, it went from terrible to more awful. So I began dismissing one school after another due to how I was dealt with.

I moved from the first to the second and from the second to the third. I battled and I completed from the third school, it was difficult.

I left secondary school and then the relationship perspective came. No person needed to date a fat young lady. Perhaps they were frightened to move toward me, or they didn't know how they could deal with me. However, I was separated from everyone else once.

Then I discovered one guy, I caught him informing his companions concerning how his time with me has been.

He was stating that he can't take me out as I'm excessively big. Goodness God, it felt as though the world was reaching a conclusion.

That relationship finished, after that, a lot more occurred and it had to do with my size. Then God sent some companions Pelumi, Olabisi, and Ibidayo Akeredolu into my life.

They helped me with my battle for self-acknowledgement. They showed me what to look like, how to be certain, how to confront a group, how to hold my head up high in any event when individuals taunted me. They showed me how to giggle over jokes.

Before long, I made a trip back to Asaba where I met a portion of my old companions who are additionally plus size. Some couldn't endure secondary school. Some were pregnant without realizing who was caring. Some were married, got married out of disgrace.

They got married basically on the grounds that they felt if they remained longer at home, they may become significantly bigger and would be absolutely out of the relationship market. They weren't a tested affection and care.
