Reason Why Men Are Called "Groom" And The Woman "The Bride" On The Wedding Day

Wedding is the legal process where a man and a woman who wish to live the rest of their lives together forever are being announced officially as husband and a wife.





The wedding day is one of the happiest and a joyful day which everyone wish it come to pass in their lives, and it happens once between a man and a woman.

But on the wedding day ,the man is not called "the husband" rather the "Groom" and the woman is not called the "wife" rather the "Bride". Why? , Read below for the reason.


The wedding day was when the man was commissioned for new, so they called him the Groom because the word "grooming" has to do with patiently nurturing, teaching, tending and helping someone to become what he or she is expected to be.

It is therefore believe that any man that takes a woman to the alter of marriage is matured enough to patiently groom his bride to become a Wife.

Nobody calls the woman "a wife" on her wedding day but "a Bride" because it is the woman that the man will groom to become his wife.
