We Followed Due Process, Warri College Provost Who Built Two Toilets With N36 Million Says

A Warri College Provost by the name, Professor Mary Edema, built two toilet blocks at the sum of N36 million Naira. According to News, the projects cost inflation and fiscal corruption may assume another tittle since the Provost, Delta State College of Education, Warri, professor Mary Edema, built two toilet blocks at whooping sum of N36 million naira, as investigation has revealed.

According to a memo with number TETF/ES/COE/AL..2017/VOL.XVII, each of the toilet block was built with the sum of N17, 135, 871 million, while N2,593,459 million went for consultancy for the project.


It was disclosed that two companies,handled the construction of the two toilet blocks.the name of the companies are, Awaguma Nigeria Limited, and Henag Nigeria Limited. project title, "construction Of Modern Lavatory for Male and Female Students Block'A' and'B' (consisting,9 toilet units, 4 Urinal and fitted with vitrified floor tiles, wash hand basin etc.)".

Investigations uncovered that the funds were part of the N75 million "Intervention Fund's made available by the Tertiary Education, for the College.
A quantity surveyor, Engineer Tunde Malachy, said, seven million naira can complete the project conveniently, with viable profit for the contractor. Though Mary Edema said due process was followed in the projects' procurement, when quizzed, if she would use such an amount to construct a private toilet for herself.





The above is the two toilet blocks builts with a whooping sum of N36 million Naira.

She maintained that due process was followed as it was published in a National Journal and TETFUND official was their to witness the bidding before the award.the project have been completed and handed over. The commissioner for Higher Education, Professor, Patrick Muoboghare commissioned them." She said.
