For Standing Against EndSARS Protests, See How Some Nigerians Are Getting Back At Adamu Garba

Even though, the EndSARS protests that rocked many cities across Nigeria in the last two weeks might have finally died down, the roles that each of the citizens played in the course of the protests will definitely not be forgotten in a few months, or may be years to come.

Meanwhile, among the Nigerians who actively got involved in the protests is the former Nigeria's presidential aspirant and tech entrepreneur, Adamu Garba II. Mr. Garba got caught up in a lot of controversies that followed his petition against the founder of Twitter Inc, Jack Dorsey.




Adamu Garba submitted a petition to the Federal High Court in Abuja in October 19, 2020, praying for the court's order directing the Nigerian government to take measures to stop further protests by the EndSARS protesters, directing NCC to stop the operation of Twitter in Nigeria and ultimately directing Twitter Inc. to pay the suit applicant, Nigerian government, a sum of $1 billion as damages.

The petition by Adamu against Jack Dorsey because of his support for the EndSARS protests in Nigeria and other activities of Adamu Garba has made him lose favours of many people especially the youths who saw him as the antagonist of their course. Meanwhile, following the purported crimes of Adamu, some Nigerians are apparently out to get back at him through his tech creation.
Garba Adamu is not only a politician, he is the founder and CEO IPI Group Limited, a group of innovative companies that make apps and softwares for smart devices. Adamu's company just launched a social media platform, Crowwe app, to compete with the likes of Facebook and Twitter starting in Nigeria first, then later globally.




According to Garba, "Crowwe is a Nigerian multi-purpose app built to ensure privacy in instant messaging, ease mobile payment, and let you connect with friends and family while building business and life."

However, regardless of how good Garba Adamu's innovation is, some Nigerians are not ready to join Crowwe, instead, they are determined to work against its success because of the role that its creator played in the just ended EndSARS protests.











So far, Crowwe has been performing badly on Google PlayStore due to the negative reviews the app is receiving on the store. The situation which has continued for days now has made Garba Adamu to make a request on people to desist from the act.











Meanwhile, Adamu's comment won't seem to settle the differences between him and the people who have felt angered over the EndSARS protests saga.
