Lady Dragged On Twitter For Saying Nigerians Are Using Bitcoin For Fraud On Jack's Post

Jack Dorsey the CEO of Twitter has shared a report by qz.com which says Nigeria is now the world’s second-biggest bitcoin market after the United States of America. His post has therefore been generating diverse views and opinion from his followers and others who comments.


In the data shown by Paxful, a leading peer-to-peer bitcoin marketplace, the leading bitcoin countries are ranked as United States of America, Nigeria, China, Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Kenya, Philippines and South Africa.



The report stated that bitcoin was to the rescue during the #EndSars protest in October as the government had barred protesters from using local payment platforms for collecting donations to support it. The bitcoin accounted for around 40% of the nearly $400,000 raised, the report further stated.


Recall Jack has also called for bitcoin donations during the protest which infuriated officials of the government.

Anyway, this latest post by Jack has been generating mixed reactions though but one that caught my attention was the one by "LaVoice" who tweeted that the rise in bitcoin use in the country was because it's use in defrauding Americans on social media platforms.

She wrote "Yeah Cause They're Scamming Americans Via Facebook And Twitter Duh!!!"


Trust Nigerians, they flooded her post with unpalatable and insulting replies.
