It’s unsafe to reopen varsities now, COVID-19 guidelines absent – ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has yet again released statement that is putting fear and worries in the hearts of thousands of undergraduate students.

It's so sad and unfair to students that schools have been closed for 11months and counting now, since the deadly pandemic Covid-19 broke out in the country, schools were forced to shut down and now the problem facing our educational system looks bigger than what anyone could have imagined.









The Federal Government representatives and ASUU officials had had series of meetings, lots of those meetings ended in disagreement until recently that their differences were sorted and they agreed to resume.






But now, the joy that has been lingering in the hearts of students is about to be cut short with the statement that ASUU just released; they cited inadequate Covid-19 measures as reasons that might make it impossible for activities to resume. In ASUU words; it is safe to reopen schools now because Covid-19 guidelines/measures are not adequately put in place by the Federal Government.
