"I am Proud of My Nigerian Heritage" - Arsenal Star Bukayo Saka Voice Out On International Future

Anglo-Nigerian footballer Bukayo Saka has finally come out to clear the air about his international future as two countries are set to slug it out.

During the week, it was reported in the British and Nigeria media that the Nigeria Football Federation are doing all within their power to get the Arsenal jersey number 77 feature for Super Eagles.

Based on past experience that saw Nigeria losing Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori, Gabriel Imuetinyan Agbonlahor to mention but few to the Three Lions of England, Amaju Melvin Pinnick led NFF are not willing to allow Bukayo Saka to slip off their hands.

The 18-year-old versatile left footer is arguably the most creative player for the North London club this season with double assists figures in the English Premier League under Unai Emery and the current manager Mikel Arteta.

Reflecting on the assumed international tug-of-war between Nigeria and England, Bukayo Saka admitted that it will be a very difficult decision for him to make.




"It's a tough choice.
"I'm happy to have represented England at youth level but I'm also proud of my Nigerian heritage from my parents.

"We haven't been picked by any team so it's about staying humble and when the time comes we'll make the decision."




Although Born in England, Saka is qualified to play for the Nigerian senior national team through his parents even though he has represented England at under-16 , under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels.
