VAR Denies Arsenal Three Points, Mikel Arteta Admits That He Doesn't Understand The Rules

Yesterday, the Gunners had a sleepless night after hosting Leicester City. Aubemeyang scored the opener goal.





Leicester City equalised through Jamie Vardy, a goal that so many people have blamed the VAR for failing to deliver. Pundits and fans heavily criticized the VAR decision to award Leicester that goal.

According to the images provided below, it's clear Ayoze Perez touched the ball and passed it to Vardy. Ayoze was offside, maybe the VAR were taking tea, who knows?







In this image from VAR, Vardy is clearly onside but Ayoze is offside. He touches the ball and passed it to Vardy meaning the goal was to be ruled out.






"Jamie Vardy was just onside for Leicester's equaliser vs Arsenal. The VAR decided the ball did not touch Ayoze Perez before it reached Vardy " Goal via Twitter.

Mikel Arteta insisted that he doesn't understand the rules aftter Eddie Nketiah was sent off following a foul.

"With the red card decision, he doesn't see the player, you have to know that it is a young kid. It can be a red card but then Leicester has to play with 10 men after 42 minutes, for one challenge that is between the 40 & 45 minutes, that has to be a red card as well" Mikel Arteta said as posted by Arsenal Worldwide on Twitter.






Many Arsenal fans didn't take it lightly. Indeed Arsenal has been outstanding and denying them key points is a slap on their face. No one can accept it.

One tweep posted this, "Jamie Vardy should’ve been sent off for this but because he’s not an Arsenal player, the referee didn’t bat an eye. I’m sick and tired of Premier League referees having an Arsenal agenda" the Arsenal fan posted on Twitter.






The match ended 1-1 and it means Arsenal hopes of finishing top four are reducing. They can focus on Europa league next season considering the kind of fixture they have ahead.






I honestly think VAR should be dumped by premier league. It favours some teams. It has lost it's integrity and honesty.
