Barcelona still intend to sign Eric Garcia in the current transfer window, according to their sporting director Ramon Planes.

Whether Barcelona have the funds to find an agreement with City will determine whether they are able to move for him this summer, with the Mail reporting that they will need to sell two defenders to do so.
