After 20 Years Of Collecting Old Phones, Look At Photos Of His Phone Collections

I remember how someone I knew became a millionaire because he never threw away his old television sets, that was because a time soon came when Chinese came to town offering anyone who has these old television sets 1.2 million naira and left with the television sets that were worth less than 1,000 naira. I never knew how good it was to hold onto something even it were old until that day.

You would probably not fancy an idea of collecting old phones and keeping then in your custody for decades and tending to this phone as if they were the newly launched kibbles phones in town, but you are not Sehabettin Ozcelik, so you can't possibly understand his logic for doing this.

He is a old man from Turkey who has found much joy and satisfaction in collecting all the phones that were out modelled and now represented by the smartphone in the 21st century. None of his collection comprised of android or iPhones, in fact none of his phone had the functionality of a touchscreen as they were all mobile handset with buttons and keys available for navigations.

Ozcelik began collecting these phones 20 years ago after he had initiated the idea that as a repairer a lot of phones will come his way and which many of his customers will decide not to collect again, but hostess instead lf discarding them, he began to keep the in his room.

Now 20 years has passed since his first phone was kept and Ozcelik would have 1,700 phones by now if not for the burglars that broke into his house two year ago and carted away 700 of his precious antiques leaving him with only a thousand (1,000) mobile phones.

Interestingly, he did not keep the phones dead or unfixed because all the phones in his collection are in good working conditions and the battery are always intact should in car he wants to access them or see what the phones are made of. He never though there would come a time for this task of his to be rewarded and recognitions accorded to him.

While he was interviewed by TRTWorld, Sehabettin Ozcelik narrated that: "Thinking people will eventually no longer be able to find these models, I decide to start a . There are no phones I buy and fix, I Leo them in my house. All of the phones are in working conditions, there batteries intact. Two years ago burglars broke into my house and "stole 700 pieces I care deeply about."

Because the phones began to increase in number and no longer able to contain a shelf, or storage box and due to the need for the phones to be exposed to fresh air and ventilation, Ozcelik reserved a whole room for his collection and only the phones are neatly arranged across this room, serving as a form of gallery to showcase his technological antiques.

A lot of people have requested for him to seek them his collection and have offered him money, but he denied the offer and maintained that he will not sell the phone and that he hopes another person will look after them when he is gone.
