The management of JAMB has released it's cut-off marks for the 2020/2021 session

The management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the cut-off marks for 2020/2021 academic session admission exercise in all Federal, States, Private Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and all Tertiary other institutions in the country.



The cut-off mark for degree awarding institutions is 160. That is the same since last year.


What is cut-off mark?

This is an agreed score set by particular institutions in collaboration with the management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board as a basics of admitting students various departments and faculty of study.

That means students who have scored the score (160) or are above it will be giving admission to the various departments.

They are difference cut-off marks of state universities, Polytechnics, Colleges and so on. Below is a list of the cut-off marks for 2020.

Federal Universities — 160

Private Universities — 140

Public Polytechnics — 120

Private Polytechnics — 110

Colleges of Education — 100

And note that all institutions are having the right to raise their cut-off marks for admission above the one stated by the management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede said institutions, with the decision, are not to go below the minimum cut-off points adopted at the meeting for admissions. That means no institutions should go below the given cut-off marks. For example Federal university should not go below 160. And the same applies to the rest of the institutions
