Lagosians Remembers Ambode As Pictures of Surulere Waste Hit The Internet

Former Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode seems to have been vindicated as picture from Surulere after last night’s downpour hit the internet.

The disturbing images circulating on social media shows streets in Akobi crescent Surulere flooded with heaps of waste.

These images brought back memories of how Lagos was during the administration of Ambode. Ambode was often blamed for how dirty Lagos looked. Much of this blame stemmed from his affiliation with waste management company, Visionscape.



Engineer Series Abiodun alongside Pictures of the dirty wondered want could have caused the outflow of dirt. “These are images from Akobi Crescent in Surulere this morning after last night’s rain. Poor drainage system or poor waste disposal & management?” His tweet read.

Another social media user, Asiwaju Adeshina wrote: “Under his watch, lagos became very dirty. Lagos is dirty. Dirts everywhere. There is no Ambode to blame this on again. Is God not great?”

Commenting on the pictures, Barna Stinson wrote: “Lagos has actually always been dirty. Got worse by ambode and visionscape. reverted to normal dirtiness post ambode and visionscape.”



Social media influencer, Dondekojo chose to heap the blame on citizens of Lagos for the waste. “Lagos was dirty because of Ambode and Visionscape. Lagos is now dirty because of irresponsible residents.” His tweet read.

Josh Omaiye pitches his tent with Sanwoolu while also blaming citizens. “ Sanwoolu didn’t eat and throw takeaway packs in the gutter. Citizens must begin to take responsibility for their bad behavior. We can’t keep being a mess and expect government to clear shit all the time.”
