Twitter Mocks Nigerian Man Who Converted Volkswagen Beetle To A Rolls-Royce

As a Nigerian, I now see why Hushpuppi, Woodberry and others adopted shortest way to attaining wealthy status.

Nigerian youths are myopic that they hardly see beyond their nose. When it comes to appreciating innovation, invention and excellence at your chosen field, many Nigerians hardly value such a landmark achievement.

All our youths now want is a sudden flight to making it in life. Most of them don't believe hardwork pays.


This explains why most Nigerians nowadays now involve themselves in Yahoo boys, Yahoo plus and notorious kidnappers.

What really beat my imagination and finally make me conclude that there seems to be no hope for the future of Nigeria and that of Nigerian youths is a Twitter post I stumbled upon on Twitter. A post that is simply meant to be a celebration of an achievement and a sort of encouragement to an innovator turns discouraging.

Seeing series of emotionally-killing and talent-assasinating Tweet responses from Nigerian youths makes me sad.

Nigerian Technician, Muhammad Abdul Modibo converted a Volkswagen Beetle into a Rolls Royce replica.

After this Tweet, some Nigerians say the innovator Muhammad Abdul Modibo has not done anything worthy of their celebration. Some say his prototype Rolls-Royce doesn't in anyway resemble the real Rolls-Royce. Some say at what age will Muhammad gets an appointment with such Rolls-Royce company.

Don't mind Twitter critics about this. And bear in bed that there is no limitation to your age when it comes to achievement in life. Some people achieved at their youths while others achieved theirs at old age.
